And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to do that which is evil in the sight of the LORD.


Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?


and say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.


but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.


Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: Therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty.


A wise son heareth his father's instruction: But a scorner heareth not rebuke.


A scorner loveth not to be reproved: He will not go unto the wise.


Speak not in the hearing of a fool; For he will despise the wisdom of thy words.


But they held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer him not.
