There they cry, but none giveth answer, Because of the pride of evil men.

[The people] cry out because of the pride of evil men, but He does not answer.

There they cry, but none giveth answer, Because of the pride of evil men.

Then they cry out; but he doesn’t answer, because of the pride of the wicked.

There they will cry, and he will not heed them, because of the arrogance of the wicked.

There shall they cry, and he will not hear, because of the pride of evil men.

Will God hear his cry, When trouble cometh upon him?

They cried, but there was none to save: Even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.

Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; They shall seek me diligently, but they shall not find me:

We know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and do his will, him he heareth.
