He draweth away the mighty also by his power: He riseth up, and no man is sure of life.

He draweth also the mighty with his power: He riseth up, and no man is sure of life.

Yet [God] prolongs the life of the [wicked] mighty by His power; they rise up when they had despaired of life.

Yet God preserveth the mighty by his power: He riseth up that hath no assurance of life.

They drag away the strong by force; they may get up but without guarantee of survival.

He has pulled down the strong by his strength, and, when he stands up, he will not have trust in his life.

He hath pulled down the strong by his might: and when he standeth up, he shall not trust to his life.

He leadeth priests away spoiled, And overthroweth the mighty.

They that come after shall be astonied at his day, As they that went before were affrighted.

He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: Who hath hardened himself against him, and prospered?

with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and they that dwell in the earth were made drunken with the wine of her fornication.
