Yet these things thou didst hide in thine heart; I know that this is with thee:


But he knoweth the way that I take; When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.


Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; And backward, but I cannot perceive him:


When he giveth quietness, who then can condemn? And when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? Whether it be done unto a nation, or unto a man, alike:


How much less when thou sayest thou beholdest him not, The cause is before him, and thou waitest for him!


Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not: He passeth on also, but I perceive him not.


How long, O LORD, wilt thou hid thyself for ever? How long shall thy wrath burn like fire?


Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.


And I will wait for the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.
