Job 21:13

They sing to the timbrel and harp, And rejoice at the sound of the pipe.


One dieth in his full strength, Being wholly at ease and quiet:


Who were snatched away before their time, Whose foundation was poured out as a stream:


Drought and heat consume the snow waters: So doth Sheol those which have sinned.


They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone; Yea, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all other, And are cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.


For now should I have lain down and been quiet; I should have slept; then had I been at rest:


If they hearken and serve him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.


For there are no bands in their death: But their strength is firm.


Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.


And there came over against Gibeah ten thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and the battle was sore: but they knew not that evil was close upon them.
