And he built twenty cubits on the hinder part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor unto the walls: he even built them for it within, for an oracle, even for the most holy place.


And thou shalt put the mercy-seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.


And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy-seat above upon the ark:


And he measured the length thereof twenty cubits, and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said unto me, This is the most holy place.


and the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the veil, before the mercy-seat which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy-seat.


and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy-seat; of which things we cannot now speak severally.
