Go to my servant David and tell him, This is what the LORD says: You are not the one to build the temple for me to live in.

"Go, and speak to my servant David: Thus says the Lord: You shall not build a house for me as a dwelling place.

Go, and speak to David my servant: Thus saith the Lord: Thou shalt not build me a house to dwell in.

nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name.

And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
