The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.


Like a lame man's legs, which hang useless, is a proverb in the mouth of fools.


And the Lord said: “Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men learned by rote;


“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”


Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is lawful and right, he shall save his life.
