When his master heard the words which his wife spoke to him, “This is the way your servant treated me,” his anger was kindled.


And the woman conceived; and she sent and told David, “I am with child.”


Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.


Wrath is cruel, anger is overwhelming; but who can stand before jealousy?


Wounds and dishonor will he get, and his disgrace will not be wiped away.


He will accept no compensation, nor be appeased though you multiply gifts.


Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm; for love is strong as death, jealousy is cruel as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, a most vehement flame.
