Are not the days of my life few? Let me alone, that I may find a little comfort


For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me inherit the iniquities of my youth.


“As God lives, who has taken away my right, and the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter;


“Why is light given to him that is in misery, and life to the bitter in soul,


How long wilt thou not look away from me, nor let me alone till I swallow my spittle?


Look away from me, that I may know gladness, before I depart and be no more!”


Thy wrath lies heavy upon me, and thou dost overwhelm me with all thy waves. Selah
