Job 38:39 - Revised Standard Version

“Can you hunt the prey for the lion, or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,

Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? Or fill the appetite of the young lions,

Can you [Job] hunt the prey for the lion? Or satisfy the appetite of the young lions

Canst thou hunt the prey for the lioness, Or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,

Can you hunt prey for the lion or fill the cravings of lion cubs?

Will you seize prey for the lioness, and will you sustain the lives of her young,

Wilt thou take the prey for the lioness, and satisfy the appetite of her whelps,

when the dust runs into a mass and the clods cleave fast together?

The young lions roar for their prey, seeking their food from God.

The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

Do not men despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his appetite when he is hungry?
