They break up my path, they promote my calamity; no one restrains them.

They mar my path, They set forward my calamity, They have no helper.

They break up and clutter my path [embarrassing my plans]; they urge on my calamity, even though they have no helper [and are themselves helpless].

They mar my path, They set forward my calamity, Even men that have no helper.

destroy my road, profit from my fall, with no help.

They have diverted my journeys; they have waited to ambush me, and they have prevailed, and there was no one who might bring help.

They have destroyed my ways, they have lain in wait against me, and they have prevailed: and there was none to help.

As through a wide breach they come; amid the crash they roll on.

For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten, and him whom thou hast wounded, they afflict still more.

My people—children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, your leaders mislead you, and confuse the course of your paths.

And I am very angry with the nations that are at ease; for while I was angry but a little they furthered the disaster.
