Then Solomon said, “The Lord has set the sun in the heavens, but has said that he would dwell in thick darkness.


Thick clouds enwrap him, so that he does not see, and he walks on the vault of heaven.’


He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light by night.


Clouds and thick darkness are round about him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.


And the people stood afar off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.


No man shall come up with you, and let no man be seen throughout all the mountain; let no flocks or herds feed before that mountain.”


who alone has immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
