Yet to his son I will give one tribe, that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I have chosen to put my name.


Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.


“The former things I declared of old, they went forth from my mouth and I made them known; then suddenly I did them and they came to pass.


I declared them to you from of old, before they came to pass I announced them to you, lest you should say, ‘My idol did them, my graven image and my molten image commanded them.’


“You have heard; now see all this; and will you not declare it? From this time forth I make you hear new things, hidden things which you have not known.


I tell you this now, before it takes place, that when it does take place you may believe that I am he.


says the Lord, who has made these things known from of old.’


Not one of all the good promises which the Lord had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.
