“Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, ‘What are you doing?’
“Say now to the rebellious house, Do you not know what these things mean? Tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took her king and her princes and brought them to him to Babylon.

And when they say to you, ‘Why do you sigh?’ you shall say, ‘Because of the tidings. When it comes, every heart will melt and all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it comes and it will be fulfilled,’ ” says the Lord God.
So I spoke to the people in the morning, and at evening my wife died. And on the next morning I did as I was commanded.
And when your people say to you, ‘Will you not show us what you mean by these?’
“Your words have been stout against me, says the Lord. Yet you say, ‘How have we spoken against thee?’
