When King Hezekiah heard it, he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the Lord.


And when Judah looked, behold, the battle was before and behind them; and they cried to the Lord, and the priests blew the trumpets.


And Asa went out to meet him, and they drew up their lines of battle in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.


And Asa cried to the Lord his God, “O Lord, there is none like thee to help, between the mighty and the weak. Help us, O Lord our God, for we rely on thee, and in thy name we have come against this multitude. O Lord, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.”


And they spoke of the God of Jerusalem as they spoke of the gods of the peoples of the earth, which are the work of men's hands.


And the Lord sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty warriors and commanders and officers in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he came into the house of his god, some of his own sons struck him down there with the sword.


and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”
