Now there were four men who were lepers at the entrance to the gate; and they said to one another, “Why do we sit here till we die?


And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked at him, and behold, he was leprous in his forehead! And they thrust him out quickly, and he himself hastened to go out, because the Lord had smitten him.


Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok.


He shall remain unclean as long as he has the disease; he is unclean; he shall dwell alone in a habitation outside the camp.


And he who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and bathe himself in water, and he shall be clean; and after that he shall come into the camp, but shall dwell outside his tent seven days.


So Miriam was shut up outside the camp seven days; and the people did not set out on the march till Miriam was brought in again.


And the people of Israel did so, and drove them outside the camp; as the Lord said to Moses, so the people of Israel did.
