Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold,


And the Lord gave Solomon great repute in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.


Thus King Solomon excelled all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.


Did not Solomon king of Israel sin on account of such women? Among the many nations there was no king like him, and he was beloved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel; nevertheless foreign women made even him to sin.


Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.


She will place on your head a fair garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.”


a man to whom God gives wealth, possessions, and honor, so that he lacks nothing of all that he desires, yet God does not give him power to enjoy them, but a stranger enjoys them; this is vanity; it is a sore affliction.
