It may be that the Lord will look upon my affliction, and that the Lord will repay me with good for this cursing of me today.”


Remember me, O Lord, when thou showest favor to thy people; help me when thou deliverest them;


Deal with thy servant according to thy steadfast love, and teach me thy statutes.


Turn thou to me, and be gracious to me; for I am lonely and afflicted.


Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins.


For thou dost bless the righteous, O Lord; thou dost cover him with favor as with a shield.


And the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord had visited the people of Israel and that he had seen their affliction, they bowed their heads and worshiped.


And she vowed a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thy maidservant, and remember me, and not forget thy maidservant, but wilt give to thy maidservant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall touch his head.”
