For you have exacted pledges of your brothers for nothing, and stripped the naked of their clothing.


When the ear heard, it called me blessed, and when the eye saw, it approved;


The blessing of him who was about to perish came upon me, and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.


if I have seen any one perish for lack of clothing, or a poor man without covering;


if I have raised my hand against the fatherless, because I saw help in the gate;


the lambs will provide your clothing, and the goats the price of a field;


Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?


does not wrong any one, exacts no pledge, commits no robbery, but gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with a garment,


“Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy each to his brother,


when the sun goes down, you shall restore to him the pledge that he may sleep in his cloak and bless you; and it shall be righteousness to you before the Lord your God.
