Bless God, my soul. O Lord my God, thou art exceeding great; With honour and with majesty thou clothed art in state.


The heav'ns God's glory do declare, the skies his hand-works preach:


One thing I of the Lord desir'd, and will seek to obtain, That all days of my life I may within God's house remain; That I the beauty of the Lord behold may and admire, And that I in his holy place may rev'rently enquire.


God's voice doth make the hinds to calve, it makes the forest bare: And in his temple ev'ry one his glory doth declare.


From out of Sion hill, which of excellency And beauty the perfection is, God shined gloriously.


Ev'n as with marrow and with fat my soul shall filled be; Then shall my mouth with joyful lips sing praises unto thee:


How excellent in all the earth, Lord, our Lord, is thy name! Who hast thy glory far advanc'd above the starry frame.


The Lord doth reign, and cloth'd is he with majesty most bright; His works do shew him cloth'd to be, and girt about with might. The world is also stablished, that it cannot depart.
