The wicked in his loftiness doth persecute the poor: In these devices they have fram'd let them be taken sure.


The proud have digged pits for me, which is against thy laws.


Let workers of iniquity into their own nets fall, Whilst I do, by thine help, escape the danger of them all.


My soul's bow'd down; for they a net have laid, my steps to snare: Into the pit which they have digg'd for me, they fallen are.


That thou may'st give him rest from days of sad adversity, Until the pit be digg'd for those that work iniquity.
