O that I, like a dove, had wings, said I, then would I flee Far hence, that I might find a place where I in rest might be.

And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! For then would I fly away, and be at rest.

And I say, Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.

And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! Then would I fly away, and be at rest.

I say to myself, I wish I had wings like a dove! I’d fly away and rest.

All day long, they curse my words. All their intentions are for evil against me.

All the day long they detested my words: all their thoughts were against me unto evil.

I in the Lord do put my trust: how is it then that ye Say to my soul, Flee, as a bird, unto your mountain high?

Take I the morning wings, and dwell in utmost parts of sea;
