As with a garment I will clothe with shame his en'mies all: But yet the crown that he doth wear upon him flourish shall.


And from our foes our freedom wrought: for his grace faileth never.


O God the Lord, who art the strength of my salvation: A cov'ring in the day of war my head thou hast put on.


Ev'n he it is that unto kings salvation doth send; Who his own servant David doth from hurtful sword defend.


Sham'd and confounded be they all that seek my soul to kill; Yea, let them backward driven be, and sham'd, that wish me ill.


Ev'n there they were afraid, and stood with trembling, all dismay'd, Whereas there was no cause at all why they should be afraid: For God his bones that thee besieg'd hath scatter'd all abroad; Thou hast confounded them, for they despised are of God.
