He from the dust doth raise the poor, that very low doth lie; And from the dunghill lifts the man oppress'd with poverty;


The daughter there of Tyre shall be with gifts and off 'rings great: Those of the people that are rich thy favour shall entreat.


Their eyes stand out with fat; they have more than their hearts could wish.


God's wrath upon them came, and slew the fattest of them all; So that the choice of Israel, o'erthrown by death, did fall.
