The wicked, through his pride of face, on God he doth not call; And in the counsels of his heart the Lord is not at all.


Fools, for their sin, and their offence, do sore affliction bear;


That there is not a God, the fool doth in his heart conclude: They are corrupt, their works are vile, not one of them doth good.


For I envious was, and grudg'd the foolish folk to see, When I perceiv'd the wicked sort enjoy prosperity.


A brutish man it knoweth not; fools understand not this.
