My persecutors many are, and foes that do combine; Yet from thy testimonies pure my heart doth not decline.
Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; Yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.
Many are my persecutors and my adversaries, yet I do not swerve from Your testimonies.
Many are my persecutors and mine adversaries; Yet have I not swerved from thy testimonies.
My oppressors and enemies are many, but I haven’t turned away from your laws.
I err'd not from them, though for me the wicked snares did set.

Consider thou my foes, because they many are; And it a cruel hatred is which they against me bear.
All this is come on us, yet we have not forgotten thee; Nor falsely in thy covenant behav'd ourselves have we.
They daily would me swallow up that hate me spitefully; For they be many that do fight against me, O most High.
O Lord my God, in thee do I my confidence repose: Save and deliver me from all my persecuting foes;
