They unto Baal-peor did themselves associate; The sacrifices of the dead they did profanely eat.

They joined themselves also unto Baalpeor, And ate the sacrifices of the dead.

They joined themselves also to the [idol] Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices [offered] to the lifeless [gods].
