With us he dealt not as we sinn'd, nor did requite our ill.

He doesn’t deal with us according to our sin or repay us according to our wrongdoing,

You spring forth fountains in steep valleys. The waters will cross through the midst of the mountains.

Thou sendest forth springs in the vales: between the midst of the hills the waters shall pass.

Lord, who shall stand, if thou, O Lord, should'st mark iniquity?
