But a certain man drew his bow and unknowingly struck the king of Israel between the scale armor and the breastplate; so he said to the driver of his chariot, “Turn around, and carry me out of the battle, for I am wounded.”


For the arrows of the Almighty are in me; my spirit drinks their poison; the terrors of God are arrayed against me.


And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; he flashed forth lightnings, and routed them.


shooting from ambush at the blameless; they shoot suddenly and without fear.


How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away utterly by terrors!


One who is often reproved, yet remains stubborn, will suddenly be broken beyond healing.
