Let this be recorded for a generation to come, so that a people yet unborn may praise the Lord:


I have told the glad news of deliverance in the great congregation; see, I have not restrained my lips, as you know, O Lord.


that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and rise up and tell them to their children,


All the nations you have made shall come and bow down before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name.


Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him with pain. When you make his life an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring, and shall prolong his days; through him the will of the Lord shall prosper.


Sing, O barren one who did not bear; burst into song and shout, you who have not been in labor! For the children of the desolate woman will be more than the children of her that is married, says the Lord.


Lift up your eyes and look around; they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from far away, and your daughters shall be carried on their nurses' arms.


For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, “The one who is righteous will live by faith.”
