Who has the wisdom to number the clouds? Or who can tilt the waterskins of the heavens,


you set the beams of your chambers on the waters, you make the clouds your chariot, you ride on the wings of the wind,


He covers the heavens with clouds, prepares rain for the earth, makes grass grow on the hills.


When he utters his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings for the rain, and he brings out the wind from his storehouses.


Can any idols of the nations bring rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Is it not you, O Lord our God? We set our hope on you, for it is you who do all this.


who builds his upper chambers in the heavens, and founds his vault upon the earth; who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the surface of the earth— the Lord is his name.


so that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous.


yet he has not left himself without a witness in doing good—giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, and filling you with food and your hearts with joy.”


But the land that you are crossing over to occupy is a land of hills and valleys, watered by rain from the sky,
