Hear, O our God, for we are despised; turn their taunt back on their own heads, and give them over as plunder in a land of captivity.


Insults have broken my heart, so that I am in despair. I looked for pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.


It is zeal for your house that has consumed me; the insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.


When pride comes, then comes disgrace; but wisdom is with the humble.


The righteous hate falsehood, but the wicked act shamefully and disgracefully.
