The righteous know the needs of their animals, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.


Fools show their anger at once, but the prudent ignore an insult.


This is an evil in all that happens under the sun, that the same fate comes to everyone. Moreover, the hearts of all are full of evil; madness is in their hearts while they live, and after that they go to the dead.


But the donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your donkey, which you have ridden all your life to this day? Have I been in the habit of treating you this way?” And he said, “No.”


For out of the heart come evil intentions, murder, adultery, fornication, theft, false witness, slander.
