“ ‘And this shall be the sign for you: This year you shall eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs from that; then in the third year sow, reap, plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.


The threshing floors shall be full of grain, the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.


When you sow in the eighth year, you will be eating from the old crop; until the ninth year, when its produce comes in, you shall eat the old.


And he thought to himself, ‘What should I do, for I have no place to store my crops?’


On the day after the passover, on that very day, they ate the produce of the land, unleavened cakes and parched grain.
