Happy are your wives! Happy are these your servants, who continually attend you and hear your wisdom!


One thing I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.


Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools suffers harm.


She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called happy.


Happy is the one who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting beside my doors.

The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus.


He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where he was staying, and they remained with him that day. It was about four o'clock in the afternoon.


Nathanael replied, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”


They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and said to him, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”


Then Jesus, knowing all that was to happen to him, came forward and asked them, “Whom are you looking for?”


Again he asked them, “Whom are you looking for?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”


He came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do apart from the presence of God.”


They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, the one who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you testified, here he is baptizing, and all are going to him.”


Meanwhile the disciples were urging him, “Rabbi, eat something.”


When they found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, “Rabbi, when did you come here?”


So Peter went down to the men and said, “I am the one you are looking for; what is the reason for your coming?”


So when I was sent for, I came without objection. Now may I ask why you sent for me?”


But Ruth said, “Do not press me to leave you or to turn back from following you! Where you go, I will go; where you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God.
