“Should a multitude of words go unanswered, and should one full of talk be vindicated?


Then Bildad the Shuhite answered:


Why are we counted as cattle? Why are we stupid in your sight?


“Listen carefully to my words, and let this be your consolation.


There the wicked cease from troubling, and there the weary are at rest.


“But now, hear my speech, O Job, and listen to all my words.


“How long will you say these things, and the words of your mouth be a great wind?


If one gives answer before hearing, it is folly and shame.


You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger;
