When you hide your face, they are dismayed; when you take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.


When their breath departs, they return to the earth; on that very day their plans perish.


and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the breath returns to God who gave it.


Turn away from mortals, who have only breath in their nostrils, for of what account are they?


Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” Having said this, he breathed his last.


For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love.


What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but do not have works? Can faith save you?


So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.


Do you want to be shown, you senseless person, that faith apart from works is barren?
