Only on this condition will we consent to you: that you will become as we are and every male among you be circumcised.

but in this will we consent unto you: If ye will be as we be, that every male of you be circumcised;

But we do consent to do this: if you will become as we are and every male among you be circumcised,

Only on this condition will we consent unto you: if ye will be as we are, that every male of you be circumcised;

We can only agree to do this if you circumcise every male as we do.

But we may succeed in this, so as to be allied with you, if you are willing to become like us, and if all the male sex among you will be circumcised.

But in this way may we be allied with you, if you will be like us, and all the male sex among you be circumcised:

This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised.

They said to them, “We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one who is uncircumcised, for that would be a disgrace to us.

Then we will give our daughters to you, and we will take your daughters for ourselves, and we will live among you and become one people.

Friends, I beg you, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You have done me no wrong.
