But truly it is the spirit in a mortal, the breath of the Almighty, that makes for understanding.
Who has put wisdom in the inward parts, or given understanding to the mind?
Surely everyone goes about like a shadow. Surely for nothing they are in turmoil; they heap up, and do not know who will gather.
You desire truth in the inward being; therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart.
The good leave an inheritance to their children's children, but the sinner's wealth is laid up for the righteous.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
One who augments wealth by exorbitant interest gathers it for another who is kind to the poor.
