When the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”


And the Pharisees and the scribes were grumbling and saying, “This fellow welcomes sinners and eats with them.”


Then they took Jesus from Caiaphas to Pilate's headquarters. It was early in the morning. They themselves did not enter the headquarters, so as to avoid ritual defilement and to be able to eat the Passover.


So Peter invited them in and gave them lodging. The next day he got up and went with them, and some of the believers from Joppa accompanied him.


and he said to them, “You yourselves know that it is unlawful for a Jew to associate with or to visit a Gentile; but God has shown me that I should not call anyone profane or unclean.


Send therefore to Joppa and ask for Simon, who is called Peter; he is staying in the home of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.’


So he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they invited him to stay for several days.


But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother or sister who is sexually immoral or greedy, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber. Do not even eat with such a one.


for until certain people came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But after they came, he drew back and kept himself separate for fear of the circumcision faction.


Do not receive into the house or welcome anyone who comes to you and does not bring this teaching;
