to aspire to live quietly, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we directed you,


Now we command you, beloved, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from believers who are living in idleness and not according to the tradition that they received from us.


Besides that, they learn to be idle, gadding about from house to house; and they are not merely idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying what they should not say.


But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, a criminal, or even as a mischief maker.
