Joab son of Zeruiah, and the servants of David, went out and met them at the pool of Gibeon. One group sat on one side of the pool, while the other sat on the other side of the pool.


Among the Thirty were Asahel brother of Joab; Elhanan son of Dodo of Bethlehem;


The warriors of the armies were Asahel brother of Joab, Elhanan son of Dodo of Bethlehem,


This is the Benaiah who was a mighty man of the Thirty and in command of the Thirty; his son Ammizabad was in charge of his division.


The fifth commander, for the fifth month, was Shamhuth, the Izrahite; in his division were twenty-four thousand.
