For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face.


The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.


The Lord sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground.


Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.


I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.


‘Hear, you deaf; look, you blind, and see!


the blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.
