The second one married the widow, but he also died, leaving no child. It was the same with the third.

And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.

And the second [brother] married her, and died, leaving no children; and the third did the same;

The second married her and died without leaving any children. The third did the same.

And the second took her, and he died. And neither did he leave behind offspring. And the third acted similarly.

Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died without leaving any children.

In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too.
