I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.


And it shall be in that day, says the Lord Jehovah, I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the light of day.


And it was the third hour, and they crucified Him.


And it was the preparation of the Passover, and about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, Behold your king!


And on the same day Peter and John went up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.


And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was stricken, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars, so that the third part of them was darkened, and the day did not appear for a third part of it, and the night also.


And it opened the bottomless pit. And there arose a smoke out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace. And the sun and air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit.
