The governor answered and said to them, Which of the two do you desire that I release to you? They said, Barabbas.
But the chief priests moved the people that he should rather release Barabbas to them.
Then they all cried again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas! But Barabbas was a robber.
And he reasoned in the synagogue on every sabbath, persuading both Jews and Greeks.
