And I say to you, Whoever shall put away his wife, except for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is put away commits adultery.


And in the house His disciples asked Him again about the same.


Everyone putting away his wife and marrying another commits adultery; and everyone marrying her who is put away from her husband commits adultery.


So then if, while her husband lives, she is married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress. But if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress by becoming another man's wife.


The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband. And likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife.


And when she has departed from his house, she goes and becomes another man's;


Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
