The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who walk uprightly.


And Jehovah said to Moses, The man shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.


And hearing these things, all in the synagogue were filled with wrath.


I know that you are Abraham's seed, but you seek to kill Me because My Word has no place in you.


But now you seek to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth which I have heard beside God; this Abraham did not do.


Then they took up stones to throw at Him. But Jesus hid Himself and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and passed on by.


Therefore Jesus also, so that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
