And now my father put a heavy yoke on you, and I will surely add to your yoke. My father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.


You shall tread on the lion and adder; the young lion and the jackal You shall trample underfoot.


And the suckling child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den.


And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them, and of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Do not be afraid of their words, nor frightened by their faces, though they are a rebellious house.
